Once again, you have made a senseless statement,
haven't you? For whom have we been working so hard day and night?
–
No brother, I am not saying a senseless thing. This is
because seeing your behaviour I begin to have doubts. I feel that you wear good
clothes so that you look better than the others and so that you can overshadow
them; you wish to score good marks so as to be one up over your friends; you
want a luxurious house and swanky interiors so that you can create an
impression in front of others. Your motive behind the house-warming party is to
invite everyone and flaunt your house.
–
Everything that you are saying is true, but honestly
speaking, this also has its own joy.
–
No...no...what seems like joy is actually your pride. And
it is a fact that pride can never give happiness. You too must have surely experienced
this, when someone points a flaw or two in the house, how much it upsets you.
Not just the party but also the joy of building the house goes down the drain.
There is no need for anyone else to explain what your heart goes through when
nobody compliments you on your new and fabulous dress at a party. So, whether
you wish to wear new clothes or score good marks, whether you wish to buy a new
car or build a new house, you will be able to enjoy living this human life
whole-heartedly only when you begin to do all this for your happiness.
...Because otherwise you work so hard and achieve great things today, and in
the next moment, someone passes a single comment and ruins your heady feeling.
Therefore, you cannot be happy if you keep trying to show off or do things to
dominate others. So henceforth, do everything only for your own happiness. This
deal, which causes double the loss in life, is simply not worth it!
