निगाह उस घटना से होने वाले दूर के फायदे पर लगाना सीख जाएंगे
तो आप जल्द ही एक ऐसी राह पकड़
लेंगे कि जहां से आपके मन आपका बुरा होना ही बंद हो जाएगा।
और मनुष्य-जीवन में इससे बड़ी और कोई
उपलब्धि हो ही नहीं सकती है।

- Hey dear! What are you out to sell so early in the morning? Didn’t the society’s watchman stop you?
- How can he stop me? I am invisible and reside within you. Silly fellow, listen carefully, I am God. You seek me out day and night, hence, I thought I would introduce you to my real form, so that it would put an end to your unnecessary visits to the temples-mosques and churches.
- Oh! So will you stay with me forever?
- See, that’s what I wish to do. But it is up to you and not me. If you really do want to attain me then renounce the temptation, greed, fear, expectations, jealousy, and bias that dwell within you. I promise you that I will never leave you then.
- What kind of condition is this? How will I survive if I give up all of these? Your dealing in the temples-mosques-churches is far more straight-forward. You are available to me if I offer a few rupees. And when you are so easily available at such a low price, why should I pay such a heavy price to attain you?

कैसे रोक सकता है? मैं अदृश्य हूँ और तुम्हारे भीतर बसा हुआ हूँ। अरे पगले, ध्यान से
सुन मैं भगवान हूँ। तू दिन-रात मुझे खोजता रहता है, सो मैंने सोचा कि आज तुझे अपने
वास्तविक स्वरूप से मिलवा ही दूं, ताकि यह जो तू व्यर्थ में मंदिर-मस्जिद और चर्च के
चक्कर लगा रहा है; वह बंद हो जाए।

तो क्या आप हमेशा मेरे साथ रहेंगे?

मैं तो यही चाहता हूँ। परंतु यह मेरे नहीं तुम्हारे हाथ में है। यदि तुम वाकई मुझे
पाना चाहते हो तो अपने भीतर से मोह, लोभ, भय, आशा, जलन, पक्षपात सब त्याग दो। मैं वादा
करता हूँ कि फिर मैं कभी तुम्हारा साथ नहीं छोडूंगा।

में ही ज्यादा सीधा व्यवहार करते हो। पांच-पचास के चढ़ावे में उपलब्ध हो जाते हो। और
जब आप इतने सस्ते में उपलब्ध हो तो फिर मैं आपको पाने हेतु इतनी बड़ी कीमत चुकाऊं ही
क्यों?

तुम्हारी मरजी। पर वहां मैं नहीं, मेरे नाम पर बहुरूपिए बिठा दिए गए हैं। और इसी कारण
तुम्हारे जीवन का यह हाल है। खैर, समझो-न-समझो, मानो-न-मानो; जीवन तुम्हारा-निर्णय
तुम्हारा।

On the Occasion Of Janmashtami Krishna’s Anguish
Today on the
occasion of Janmashtami, I have just one
thing to say, ‘Leave me and grab hold of the Bhagavad Gita.’ You will be redeemed. Why do you harass me over
every trivial matter? Have I committed a crime by being born in India? On what
basis have you people confined the man who in his entire life span of 108 years,
did not get attached to any place, thing or person even for a moment, to temples
built in every home, nook and cranny? If you can’t be free, so be it, but at least
set me free! Why am I, who always soared like a free bird in the open sky
during my lifetime, being put under house-arrest after death? If you can learn
something from my life, then please do… Else, at least have mercy on me.

मुक्त नहीं हो सकते तो न सही, पर मुझे तो मुक्त करो
मैं,
जो जीते-जी हमेशा मुक्त आकाश में उड़ता रहा
उसे
मृत्यु के पश्चात् यह नजर-कैद क्यों?
मेरे
जीवन से कुछ सीख सकते हो तो सीख लो
...वरना
कम-से-कम मुझे तो माफ करो।
