क्रिसमस के पर्व पर विशेष मेरे अंतिम शब्द याद कर लो- क्राइस्ट
जब मुझे सूली पर लटकाया गया तब मेरे अंतिम शब्द थे, इन्हें
माफ करो! यह नहीं जानते कि ये लोग क्या कर रहे हैं। निश्चित ही उस समय ये शब्द मैंने
यहूदियों से कहे थे। पर आज मैं अधिकांश क्रिश्चियन के लिए भी यही शब्द दोहरा रहा हूँ
कि हे प्रभु इन्हें माफ करो! इन्हें खुद अंदाजा नहीं कि मेरे नाम पर ये लोग क्या-क्या
कर रहे हैं। यदि अंदाजा होता तो प्रेम का साम्राज्य न होता क्रिश्चियनिटी पर? यदि
मेरा कुछ भी एहसास होता इन लोगों को तो मनुष्य, मनुष्य का सबसे बड़ा मित्र बनकर न उभरा
होता? यदि मुझे ठीक से समझा होता तो सबके जीवन से दुःख व चिंताएं गायब न हो गई होतीं?
होगा! परंतु आप लोगों से कह देता हूँ कि अभी भी कुछ नहीं बिगड़ा है। मेरी कही बातें
और मेरा जीया जीवन आपके सामने है। मैं तो यही कहूंगा कि उनका फायदा उठाओ। ...मेरी दृष्टि
में वही सही क्रिसमस मनाना होगा।

A Christmas Special Remember My Last Words - Christ
When I was crucified, my last words were “Father, forgive
them for they know not what they do.” Certainly, at that time I had spoken these
words for the Jews, but today I repeat the same words for most of the Christians
– Dear God, please forgive them for they themselves do not know what they are
doing in my name. If they were aware, wouldn’t love be reigning all over
Christianity? If they could feel the presence of my being, don’t you think man would
have emerged as the best friend of the entire humanity. If they would have
understood me correctly, wouldn’t their life be free of sorrows and worries?
This will surely happen!
Let me tell you all is not lost yet! My teachings and the
life I lived are right there for all to see and be inspired. All I would say is,
learn from it... in my view that would be the true celebration of Christmas!

क्रिसमस के पर्व पर विशेष - बड़ी कमाल की दुनिया बना ली है आपने! - क्राइस्ट
आपकी दुनिया में मेरे इतने चर्चे देख
मुझे 2000 वर्ष बाद फिर धरती पर आने की इच्छा हुई। मेरी इस इच्छा में भी करुणा ही छिपी
हुई थी। विचार यही था कि जब चारों ओर मेरे चर्चों और मेरी मूर्तियों की इतनी धूम है,
जब मनुष्य मुझे इस कदर याद कर रहा है तो क्यों न मैं सब के सामने एकबार फिर साक्षात्
प्रकट हो ही जाऊं? 2000 वर्ष पहले की परिस्थिति अलग थी। तब मेरी बातें किसी को पसंद
नहीं आई थी और मुझे सूली पर लटका दिया गया था। परंतु आज तो पूरी पृथ्वी मेरे चाहने
वालों से भरी पड़ी है। मेरी साक्षात् करुणा पाकर आज तो पूरी पृथ्वी चमन हो जाएगी।
बस विचार शुभ था, तुरंत अमल में लाना
तय कर लिया। मौका भी क्रिसमस का ही चुना ताकि और रंग जम जाए। फिर क्या था, मैंने हाथोंहाथ
कुछ पादरियों की सभा बुलवाकर उन्हें अपना निर्णय सुनाया। सोचा, वे खुशी से झूम उठेंगे।
परंतु आश्चर्य घट गया। मेरी बात सुनते ही सभी पादरी एक गहरी सोच में डूब गए। मैं चकित
रह गया। यह क्या, मुझे याद कर-कर के दिन-रात चर्चों में घंटियां बजाते रहते हैं, और
मेरे साक्षात् आने पर विचार कर रहे हैं?
मैंने सोचा, हो सकता है मेरे स्वागत की
तैयारियों को लेकर गंभीर हो गए होंगे। बात तो सही ही है। उनका सबसे चहेता क्राइस्ट
स्वयं साक्षात् रूप से फिर प्रकट होने वाला है। परंतु मुझे स्वागत या धूमधाम की क्या
फिक्र? मैं तो ठहरा सीधा-साधा आदमी। सो मैंने तुरंत कहा- इतना सब सोचने की जरूरत नहीं,
मैं तो सीधा तुम लोगों के साथ ऐसे ही चले चलता हूँ।
मेरे यह कहने के बावजूद पादरियों की गंभीरता
कम नहीं हुई। शायद मेरा पृथ्वी पर आने का दृढ़ इरादा देखकर कुछ घबरा भी गए। यही नहीं,
उनमें से एक तुरंत बोला भी कि पहले हम इस विषय पर आपस में चर्चा कर लेते हैं, फिर आपको
बताते हैं।
ठीक है भाई। मैंने सबको एकान्त बख्श दिया।
अब उन्होंने आपस में क्या चर्चा की यह तो नहीं मालूम परंतु चर्चा का सार यह निकाला
कि मेरा पृथ्वी पे वापस आना ठीक नहीं। लो, यह क्या बात हुई? मेरे पूछने पर उलटा एक
पादरी मुझसे ही सवाल कर बैठा- चलो, यह बताइए कि आप धरती पर आकर करेंगे क्या?
मैं सवाल सुनते ही चौंक गया। करूंगा क्या
मतलब? मैं कोई दस-बीस काम थोड़े ही जानता हूँ। मैं तो अपने ज्ञान और प्रेम की चर्चा
छेड़ भगवान के निकट आने का मार्ग बताता फिरूंगा।
मेरा इरादा सुनते ही एक वरिष्ठ पादरी
बड़ी विनम्रतापूर्वक बोला- बस यही कारण है कि हमें आपका धरती पर फिर आना उचित नहीं लग
रहा है। क्योंकि आप अपनी बातों से बाज नहीं आएंगे। पहले आपने यहूदियों की दुकानें बंद
करवाई थी, अबकी हमारी बंद करवाएंगे।
मुझे तो बात ही समझ में नहीं आई। भला
मैं ऐसा क्यों करूंगा? तुम लोग मुझे इतना मानते हो। दिन-रात मेरी बातें दोहराते रहते
हो। मैं तुम्हारी खिलाफत क्यों करूंगा?
अबकी मेरा नादान सवाल सुनकर उत्तर देने
एक और वरिष्ठ पादरी मैदान में कूद पड़ा। वह बोला- हम पूजते भी आपको ही हैं और बात भी
आप ही की करते हैं, परंतु कार्य वही करते हैं जो यहूदियों के समय किया करते थे। हमने
सामने की तस्वीर बदली है, बाइबल बदली है, इमारतें बदली हैं परंतु इरादे नहीं बदले हैं।
हमने सिर्फ हमारी पहचान बदली है। वरना तो उस समय भी हम लोगों पर शासन करने की चाह में
धर्मों की दुकानें चलाया करते थे, और आज भी यही कर रहे हैं।
इतना सुनते ही मैं चिंतत हो उठा। मैंने
कहा- मैंने तो शिक्षा लोगों को बांटने की दी थी, फिर तुम लोग यह धर्म के नाम पर लोगों
का शोषण क्यों करने लग गए? लोगों के धनों से बड़े-बड़े चर्चों पर कब्जा क्यों करने लग
गए? नहीं यह नहीं चलेगा। मैं आऊंगा और एकबार फिर सब ठीक कर दूंगा।
यह सुनते ही एक पादरी हंसते हुए बोला-
ऐसा कुछ नहीं होने वाला। आप तो कुछ वर्ष रुककर चले जाएंगे। हमलोग फिर एक नया चेहरा
लेकर नया धर्म अपनाकर फिर अपनी दुकानें खोल लेंगे। लाखों वर्षों से यही होता आ रहा
है और आगे भी यही होता रहेगा। अतः हम चाहते हैं कि ना तो आप बार-बार आने का कष्ट उठाएं
और ना ही हमें बार-बार नई दुकानें खोलने की जहमत में डालें।
चलो, पादरियों की मंशा तो जान ली। परंतु
आप लोगों का तो कोई स्वार्थ नहीं। आप लोग तो मेरे सच्चे भक्त हैं। देखता हूँ आप लोग
मुझे कब बुलाते हो। मैं वादा करता हूँ कि सच्चे हृदय से एकान्त में बुलाओगे तो मैं
तत्क्षण आकर आपके हृदय में बस जाऊंगा।

Christmas Special - You Have Created An Amazing World For Yourself, Haven’t You? – Christ
On seeing so many of
my churches in your world, after 2000 years the desire to return to earth
stirred up in me. And there was also true compassion behind this desire.I
thought when my churches and idols are so popular and people are remembering me
so fondly, whynot appear amidst them in flesh and blood once more?The situation
was different 2000 years ago. Back then, no one liked what I said, and I was
crucified. But now, the earth is filled with people who love me. Today, on
personally receiving my compassion, the whole earth will bloom with joy.
Since this was a
noble thought, I decided to implement it with immediate effect. I even chose
the occasion of Christmas to generate the desired impact. So then, why wait? I immediately
convened a meeting with some of the priests and informed them of my decision. I
thought they would be overjoyed. But somethingsurprising happened. As soon as
they heard me they went into deep contemplation. I was stumped! How ironical...
theyremember me day in and day out, ringingin my sermons in the churches, and
now they are mulling over me personallyreappearing on earth?
I thought, maybe
they are seriously pondering over the preparations to welcome me. They were
right too. Their much-loved Christ was going to reappear in person. But little
did I care about my reception and the fanfare.
As it is, I am a simple man. So I promptly told them, there’s no need to
think so much, I will simply come along with you.
Despite my saying
this, the grimness of the priests did not lessen. Perhaps a few of them had
become a little anxious on seeingmy determination to return to earth. In fact,
one of them even said immediately - first, let us discuss this amongst ourselves
and then we shall let you know.
So fine, I left
them alone. Now, I don’t know what they discussed, but the conclusion was: it
would not be appropriate for me to come back to earth. Now, that’s not
done! When I questioned them, one of the
priests counter-questioned me – Okay, tell me, what will you do coming to
earth?
I was startled on
hearing the question. What do they mean by asking what will I do? I don’t have
10-20 tasks todo.I will go about spreading the message of love and wisdom and
showing people the path to get closer to God.
On hearing my
intentions, one of the senior priests very politely said - this is the very
reason why we don’t find it appropriate for you to revisit earth. Because you
won’t mend your ways! First you caused the Jews to shut shop,and now you will
bring the shutters down on ours!
I just couldn’t comprehend
what they were saying. Now, why will I do something like that? You people
respect me so much. Day and night you repeat my teachings. Why will I go
against you?
On hearing this
naive question, another senior priest promptly jumped into the scene and said –
it is only you whom we worship, and also propagate your teachings, but the work
we do is the same as in the days of the Jews. We have changed the facade, the
Bible and even the buildings but not the intentions. We have only changed our
identity. Otherwise, even in those days
we were running the business of religion with the aim of ruling over the people
and even today we are doing the same.
I became extremely
worried on hearing this. I said –The knowledge I gave you was meant to be spread
among mankind, but then why have you all begun to exploit peoplein the name of
religion? No, this won’t do! I will definitely come and set everything right
once again.
One of the priests
laughed and said – Nothing of this sort is going to happen. You will stay for a
few years and go away. Once again we will choose a new face, adopt a new
religion and open our shops. This has been going on forcenturies and will
continue in future too. So, we wish that youdo not take the trouble to keep
coming back to earth and do not compel us to bother about opening newer shops
time and again!
So I have come to
know of the ulterior motives of the priests. But at least you people don’t have
any vested interests. You all are my true followers. Let me see when you people
beckon me to earth. I promise you, if you call out to me with a pure heart in
complete solitude, I will immediately come anddwellin your heartforever!

आवाज के जादूगर और भारत की धड़कन रफी साहब को उनके जन्मदिवस पर सलाम
रफी
साहब जिनकी मृत्यु को आज 33 वर्ष हो गए हैं, आज भी लोगों के दिलों पर राज कर रहे हैं।
अति सरल रफी साहब जैसी आवाज शायद न कभी आई है ना आसानी से फिर कभी आएगी। वे ठीक ही
कहते थे कि मेरी आवाज में मेरा कुछ नहीं, सब खुदा की मेहरबानी है।
भारत
जो वर्षों से एक गरीब देश रहा है, यहां फिल्में और फिल्मी गाने सदैव से मनोरंजन का
सर्वश्रेष्ठ साधन रहे हैं। और पुराने यानी पचास व साठ के दशक के फिल्मी गाने तो मानों
लोगों के दिल में बस गए हैं। और उस समय के दस में से नौ हीरो के लिए दस में से नौ गाने
रफी साहब ने ही गाए हैं। एक तो उनकी मिठास और ऊपर से खूबसूरत भाव! वाकई मनुष्य को इस
जहां से उठाकर उस जहां पर पहुंचा देता है। भारत में लाखों लोग रफी साहब को भगवान मानते
हैं। उनके तो कई घरों में मंदिर तक बनाए गए हैं। यह उनकी आवाज का जादू ही है जो आज
उनकी मृत्यु के 33 वर्ष बाद भी भारत के कोने-कोने में सालभर उनकी नाइट्स होती रहती
है। सिंगर कोई भी हो, गाने तो रफी साहब के ही होते हैं। मैं नहीं मानता कि इतना प्यार
देश ने दिल से और किसी को कभी दिया है। आज भी उनकी आवाज करोड़ों लोगों के सुख-दुख बांटती
है।
ऐसे
महान आवाज के जादूगर को याद करना दिल को बड़ा सुकून पहुंचा रहा है। वाकई रफी साहब, आप
का वह गाना सत्य बयां कर ही गया था कि
तुम मुझे यूं भूला
ना पाओगे
जब कभी भी सुनोगे
गीत मेरे
संग मेरे तुम भी
गुनगुनाओगे।
रफी तुझे सलाम...।

To The Master Of A Magical Voice And The Heartthrob Of India – Mohammad Rafi A Salute On His Birth Anniversary
It has been 33 years since
Mohammad Rafi has passed away, but he still reigns over the hearts of people
across the world. Perhaps, a voice as magical as that of the extremely simple
and humble Rafi Sahab has never been born nor would it ever be. He used to
rightly say, there is nothing in my voice that I can call mine; it is all a
blessing bestowed upon me by God!
In India, which has been a poor
country for many years, films and their songs have always been the primary
medium of entertainment. And especially the old film songs from the 50s and 60s
have veritably been embedded in the hearts of the people. And in that era, the
playback of nine out of 10 songs for nine out of 10 male protagonists had been
sung by Rafi Sahab only. Firstly, his sweet voice and to top it, his expressive
rendition! Truly, his voice transported his listeners from this world into a
world of heavenly bliss. There are hundreds of thousands of people who revere
Rafi Sahab as God in India. Many have even made his temples in their homes. It
is solely due to his magical voice, that today, even after 33 years of his
death, music shows are being held throughout the year in every nook and corner
of India in his memory. The singer may be anyone, the songs are inevitably Rafi
Sahab’s. I don’t think, the nation has showered love in such magnitude on
anyone else. Even today, his voice shares the happiness and sorrows of millions
of people.
Remembering the master of such a mesmerising
voice brings peace and contentment to my heart. Truly Rafi Sahab, the lyrics of
one of the songs you sang aptly expresses this truth in a few words...
Tum mujhe yoon bhula na paoge
Jab kabhi bhi sunoge geet mere
Sangh mere tum bhi gungunaoge
I salute you Rafi Sahab…!

क्या आप ऊपर उठना चाहते हैं? तो उसका एक ही उपाय है
आप यह तो जानते ही हैं कि पृथ्वी का गुरुत्वाकर्षण
किसी को उठने नहीं देता। वैसे ही संसार के भी अपने हजारों गुरुत्वाकर्षण हैं जो मनुष्य
को ऊपर उठने ही नहीं देते। जैसे जो वस्तु जितनी भारी उसपर उतना ही पृथ्वी का गुरुत्वाकर्षण
प्रभावी हो जाता है, वैसे ही जिस मनुष्य ने जितना भार उठा रखा है उतना ही वह संसार
के गुरुत्वाकर्षण से खिंचता चला जाता है। फिर वह भार आपने धर्म व परंपराओं का उठा रखा
हो या रिश्तों का। फिर वह भार आपने अपनी इच्छाओं का उठा रखा हो या फिर अपने अहंकार
का, इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता। ...आपने जितने भार उठा रखे होंगे उसी अनुपात में संसार
में कीड़े-मकोड़ों की तरह रेंगने पर मजबूर होंगे। ...कभी ऊपर नहीं उठ पाएंगे। और यदि
आप वाकई ऊपर उठना चाहते हैं, आप वाकई महान व बड़ा बनना चाहते हैं तो संसार के बोझ उठाओ
ही मत। जो महान व सफल हुए हैं उनका जीवन पढ़ो और जानो कि कितने हल्के थे वे...। ध्यान
रखो कि जीवन ऊंची पहाड़ी पर चढ़ने जैसा है, बोझ ज्यादा होगा तो थक जाओगे, गिर जाओगे,
बेहोश हो जाओगे पर पहाड़ी कभी नहीं चढ़ पाओगे।

Do You Wish To Rise High? Then There’s Just One Solution For That
You are aware of the fact that the earth’s gravity
does not allow anyone to rise. Similarly, the world too has ample gravitational
pulls that do not allow human beings to rise high. Just as the heavier the
object, the more it is influenced by the earth’s gravity, the greater the
baggage a person carries, the more he is drawn by gravitational pulls. Then
whether the baggage you have shouldered is that of religion and traditions or
of relationships; that of your desires or your ego, it simply does not make any
difference. …Commensurate with the baggage that you are carrying, you shall be
forced to crawl like vermin in the world. …You shall never be able to rise
above it all. And if you really wish to rise, if you genuinely wish to become noble
and great then do not shoulder the worldly baggage. Read up on the lives of those
who have become great and successful and realise how light they were… Keep in
mind that life is like climbing a lofty mountain; if there’s too much weight on
you, you shall tire, fall and faint but you shall never be able to scale the
mountain.

आपने हवाईजहाज को उड़ते देखा ही होगा। ...वे उड़ते
कैसे हैं? जब उन्हें इतनी शक्ति प्रदान की जाती है कि वे पृथ्वी के गुरुत्वाकर्षण को
मात दे सकें। बस वैसा ही कुछ मनुष्य जीवन का भी है। वहां उड़ता मनुष्य का मन है, लेकिन
वह उड़ तब पाता है जब उसे इतनी शक्ति प्रदान की जाए कि वह संसार के तमाम गुरुत्वाकर्षणों
से ऊपर उठ सके। हवाईजहाज को तो सिर्फ पृथ्वी के गुरुत्वाकर्षण से जूझना होता है, परंतु
मन को तो धर्म से लेकर समाज तक के व रिश्तों से लेकर अपनी तुच्छ इच्छाओं तक के तमाम
गुरुत्वाकर्षण से उलझना पड़ता है। और जब तक वह उनसे बचकर निकलना सीख नहीं पाता तब तक
वह उड़ नहीं सकता। और साथ ही यह भी समझ ही लो कि जो उड़ता नहीं वह जीता भी नहीं।

You must have surely seen airplanes fly… How do they
manage to fly? When they are given so much energy, that they can defeat the
earth’s gravitation. Similar is the case with human life. Here, it is the mind
of the human being that flies; however, it can fly only if it is provided so
much energy that it can rise above all the gravitational pulls of the world. An
airplane has to grapple only with earth’s gravity whereas a human mind has to
clash with many gravitational pulls – from religion to the society and from
relationships to its menial desires. And until he learns to safely come out of
these, he cannot soar high. Along with this, also understand that –he who does
not soar high also does not live.
