Does Madhya Pradesh government know more about the Bhagavad Gita than Krishna Himself?

The Madhya Pradesh government’s decision to introduce the ‘Bhagavad Gita’ at madrasas has stunned an admirer of the Bhagavad Gita like me too. It is indeed difficult to understand as to what exactly the MP government wants to prove with this action. In the 18th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna clearly says to Arjuna, “The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita should not be imparted to anyone who is not willing to hear it.” So what do they think – will the students at madrasas listen to it willingly? Anyway, if they wish to, they are free to do so. Doesn’t this decision of the government doubt the wisdom of Krishna? Can any forceful act coerced upon an individual be called anything other than ‘rape’?
