Krishna – Gita Dialogue

Bhagavad Gita – Krishna, you say that I am the eternal truth.
Countless secrets of nature lay hidden within me.
All the principles and formulas of success are embedded within me.
Yet, there are so many temples of yours, whereas I barely have any?
And the few that exist, there too you reign supreme.
… Why is it so?
Krishna laughingly said – So what difference does it make to you and me?
Whether you have any temples or not, the eternal truth rests with you.
They might build my temples, worship me…or adorn me; but what will man gain out of it?
… But man is a fool,
he doesn’t realize your importance and keeps chasing me
… when he is not going to get anything from me
This is why, though everyone worships me in India, they get nothing in return.
Had they built your temples, instead of mine
And discussed your essence and profundity there
…then wouldn’t every Indian be happy and successful today?
…wouldn’t the entire world have bowed to India’s might?
