Nature - O Rains! What makes you so sad?
Rains- What to say! You had promised that I will always be the most beautiful season. Everywhere I look, I will see people loving, rejoicing, enjoying festivities and dancing in the shower of love. But for the past many years things have not remained the same. What used to be a time of celebration has now become a season to observe fasts in the name of god. Now all that I can see everywhere is people observing fasts and spreading gloominess.
Nature replied in dismay, "What to do my dear?”Everything was as it should have been for past millions of years. Don't know from where these Rozas, Upvas, and various other fasts have emerged in the last 2000-3000 years? But irrespective of what they say, I have surely bestowed each individual with decision-making capability at least as far as leading his life is concerned. It is indeed difficult to understand why doesn't he apply even that much of sense?
....But, don't get disheartened. See, I am the nature… no one can afford to go against me for long. By not eating in such a beautiful climate, whenit is most natural for people to indulge in binging, their appetite is anyways drastically reducing. And failing to provide body with the fuel it needs, he is falling prey to various kinds of diseases. What do you think, for how long would he bear the brunt? Not for long! Soon he will realize his folly and come to his senses.
