For example, a fan, which can function only when switched on

Or the television; when you switch it on, its on, or else its off!

…Are you any different?

If someone pleases you, you are happy and if someone passes a comment, you become upset

You’re on cloud 9 when loved

And if someone breaks your heart, you just sink into a dark abyss

Now tell me, are you a human being or an object?
