My Heartfelt Salute To The Legendary Singer Manna Dey

I feel I lack the stature to speak about Mannada or his singing. As it is every genuine artiste is a personification of God. The extent of calmness and contentment that we derive from a true artiste cannot be derived from anyone else. And that is why only an artiste gets the heartfelt love of the masses. I was fortunate to be able to see his last stage performance held three years back, in Mumbai. It was astounding! Even at the age of 91, he sang close to 40 songs. Even if we just emulate his spirit and fitness, and make him our Guru with regards to this; …and with this itself our life will become meaningful.
